Shooting different formats on one tape?

Are there any problems with shooting different formats onto one tape (i.e. 1080i60 and then 24f OR DVCAM to HDV, etc.)?

Thanks.

When the camera flips from one format to another, it takes maybe 10 seconds for it to get the tape speed right (DVCAM versus DV). You may have difficulty capturing over that area.

2- I would do things the simple way, and stick to one format / tape. DV tapes are <$4 each (a little over $2 online I think).

Thanks Glenn.

Didn't think it was a good idea, but since I shoot HDV on the Sony Digital Masters I was wanting to get more bang for the buck...

Again, thanks.
