Contour GPS- Any one having issues ?
 

Is anyone out there using a Contour GPS ?

I had one supplied to me for a project by client. When I got it, its instruction book was from the standard Contour. Eventually I figured out that issue, and found an upgrade firmware to 1.10. Onboard was a 16 gig Patriot chip. I tried several recordings, and we then used on mounted dash board. I downloaded recordings, through the camera link, and all was okay.

Most recently, one of the shooters used it for one of our reality runs, and when he returned, he plugged into his system. He could not get the computer to recognize the card on board. I find out he has a fairly old system, and of course, no drivers are on board. He brught unit back to me, and I now cannot recognize the card on my Vista or Windows 7 computers. I have the software loaded on both computers. I slipped the card into an SD card adapter and into the reader, and neither computer is unable to see the card. It appears to be dead short out or something.

I read online that their was another chap sending his unit back as everthing, camera and all was dead.

Anybody have any insight into this camera or this problem by any chance ??
