Tempted to sell my new Replay

I just got this a couple of weeks ago as a companion to my Gopro's.

I'm fairly satisfied with it, especially low light but I didn't expect the Gopro hero2 so soon.
I also don't like Replay's gouging on shipping.

They gouged on shipping when I bought it and I lost the USB cable today so I ordered two more.

Almost nine dollars a cable then 11.95 shipping.

That's a good way to lose me as a customer.

Sounds like solid logic if you ask me.

I sold my spare new in box gopro HD right before the HD2 announcement. Already ordered the new one. I just wish someone made metal gopro mounts like the 'pro' ones replay has, I melted a few pieces on a hot air balloon a month ago.

There are a couple of people CNC'ing aluminum cases for the GoPro's Matt!

You'll be first on the list.
The new GoPro 2 will be here tomorrow. I'll think about the Replay after I give it a workout...although, they still will do different things.

I've mentioned this elsewhere, maybe here, too:

What's especially nice about the Replay is how it handles changes in lighting. The adjustments are gradual whereas other cameras tend to be abrupt.

Also, the contrast is not as hard, so shadows remain open and there's almost always details in the highlights.

Drawbacks: battery power is short. Two hours or less. No interchangeable battery. So once the battery is drained, the camera's out of action until it can be recharged. There's an option for an external power connection that's in the works but that would affect the camera's compact profile.

As for the price charged for shipping, I talked to someone at Stable Imaging Solutions and was told that they will look at an option of shipping via Priority Mail. It's safe, fast, and a fraction of the price of UPS or FedEx.
