Help - Monopod and belt camera support

I was at an event a couple weeks ago and I saw a guy using a rather ingenious support. It was a monopod, attached to a DVX100, that he was able to telescope relatively easy. But the really cool thing was that he was wearing a utility belt that had different zipped-up compartments, and on the front was a cradle. He was able to rest the monopod, when it was telescoped up, in the crade on the belt and use his body to support the camera. I had remembered the name of the company that made it for a couple of days, but I never wrote it down, and now I have no idea. Does anybody have a clue about what I am talking about? Any help would be appreciated. The monopod wasn't tricked out, and the cradle was part of the belt, not an add-on.

Miguel,

I have used every trick I have, including Google.com, to find it. I had found that Bogen pouch, but that's not it. It was a cradle, much smaller and shallower than the pouch, and it was part of the belt. I am pretty sure that even the monopod was part of the support package. Thanks for the heads up, though. Good to know there are those out there looking out.

WOW damn dude, I thought that we nailed it, ok then, have you tried looking up monopods on BHPHOTOVIDEO.com and when you see something that looks familiar, looking at the accessories that go with it. I've tried that a few times on their site to get a glimpse of what may be needed for a new toy and it seems to work fairly well, only requires a ton of effort however as you have to check out every item that comes up as a monopod.

I use my mono pod without a pouch, just in the waist line/belt or under my arm. I guess you can buy a tool belt from Lowe's and save a couple of hundred bucks. If you put video in front of what you want that will add some bucks. Or buy a deep sea fishing fighting belt from BassPro or have someone make you one. Always saves me money to invent.

Good LUCK! Steve
