I've spoken to the guys at Nexto and they seem to think it might be possible. They are looking in to it.
|
I just loaded the 1.10 firmware today. Very nice! That box really smokes now. The "Sync" function speed has been greatly improved and I love the combined Copy/Verify feature.

I recently reviewed the NVS2500 too along with the battery plate for BPU batteries.
NEXTO DI Video Storage Pro NVS2500 | Paul Joy It works a treat, the BPU plate can also power a 5V USB drive as well if required. |
Can I assume it works with SxS or SDHC cards in an adapter?
|
Depends on the model. Nexto has about 3,126 different ones.
|
The NVS2500 works with SxS, SD, SDHD, CF and Memory Stick (no adapter needed) and P2 (via supplied adapter).
|
This Nexto copies SxS cards to its own internal HD. You can then make copies to other HD's.
Is there a device that acts similar but only copies direct to an external HD bypassing the nexto internal HD? I certainly like a 6 minute/16gb transfer time! |
The NVS2500 is also a standard part of my workflow - soooo quick when connected to an edit PC using eSata :)

Hi all,
Any updates on the NEXTO DI NVS2500? eg., can you burn to BluRay now? thanks, Malcolm |
You're a mind reader Malcolm, I was just going to post the same question!
|
Chris, as you're able to read my mind, you must also know that I'm wondering whether to buy a 32GB SxS card or a NEXTO DI (just to help you visualize: see my recent post titled "NEXTO DI or 32GB SxS card?").
Do you have an opinion? If so, would you post it in that thread (unfortunately I'm not able to read your mind). I've included a few more details regarding my situation. Now, back to wondering about BluRay and the NEXTO DI. Cheers, Malcolm |
