Does Nexto 2730 come with a hard drive?
 

I was psyched to hear that the "photo" version (cheaper) of Nexto works for any Canon CF/SDHC cards (so video, too), just doesn't have all the bells and whistles. But, am I missing something? The title is "500 GB HDD" but then in the specifications it says doesn't come with Hard Drive, but you can install 2.5 yourself. Anyone know what the deal is? What am I missing?

Hi Tim,

The Nexto ND 2730 that is sold at authorized USA dealers/ retailers does indeed come with a hard drive--either 500GB or 750GB 7200 RPM.

If purchased from an authorized USA dealer/ retailer, the ND 2730 includes a 2 year USA warranty.

Hi Tim,

ND2730 works with video files too, infact anything u throw at it, it just sucks it in. I purchased some units without HDD, and installed my own, and will just simply swap out the hdd to "archive and backup" once its full. Depending on the distributorship arrangements in each country, u may or not be able to get hold of units without hardisks.
