Creating a CD demo...how?

I want to create a CD demo of my work and am not sure how to go about it. I usually burn DVDs and use Ulead Workshop, but I need to create a more accessable format (I only get a success rate of about 60% on DVDs) for people to view with their computers. What kind of program would I need to create a similar, chaptered cd-rom? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

Macromedia Director- but it's pretty advanced.

I have created a demo cd using html. I lay it out just like a website with video.

This is a PC only answer but that covers 90-100% of your customers. Multimediabuilder is the way to go since it's $50 and you can do great stuff with it. You will catch on to it with a bit of effort and the forum on their site is very helpful. I use it for my wedding demos and have about 10 Mpeg1 clips and links to websites and audio referral clips from customers and links to word documents like contracts. It can be like a website on CD and you don't need broadband to view the clips. Go to mediachance.com.

If you just want a plain CD with video on it I suggest you either
make a VCD which any computer can play (but sometimes getting
them to play it can be difficult), put a plain .MPG (mpeg1) on the
CD or put a QuickTime movie on it. Those seem to be the most
widely accepted formats currently out there besides DVD. You
will loose the chapters though (although VCD can have those in
VCD 2.0 standard I think).
