Fastest way to network
 

What is the fastest way to connect two or more systems, (PC) to share video files? so I can access one from several computers, seperately.

Most PC's these days are shipped with a network interface jack, so assuming you've got those on all of your computers you only need a place to plug them all into. A 'hub' or 'router' is what you're looking for there, plus a network cable for each PC. I'm guessing from the nature of the question that you are not a tech geek, so I hesitate to go into details...

I build computers since before the PC was invented, but recently more art based so the actual newest tech I am not up on, but the network port is NOT the FASTEST way to connect, and it shows when using uncompressed HD at 400plus gigs per hour, my question was geared toward what is the fastest so is it fiber optic? or are there other options?

How about gigabit ethernet? Otherwise Fibre Channel but, that gets pricey fast.

Fiber Channel starts at gigabit speed, so unless you went with a faster Fiber Channel spec I wouldn't see any advantage to it over gigabit Ethernet (which can also use optical fiber). Especially when one factors in the cost.

Nearly every computer sold today should include a gigabit Ethernet adapter. One gigabit per second equals 125 megabytes per second, which is faster than a SATA drive's sustained read rate.

I thought I just answered this question? Must be deja vu. Anyway...

Gigabit Ethernet is fast enough unless you have a RAID system because you are ultimately limited by the sustained transfer rate of HDs, which is in the tens of MB/s.
