Naming layers in AE 5.5
 

I'm having trouble renaming my layers in AE 5.5. I've duplicated a pre-comp layer 3 times and want to rename them. Whn I select the layer and hit enter, return for Mac people, I get the source window instead of the cursor in the name box.

Am I missing something?

No, that is how it's done, Adrian. Select the layer then press Enter. It seems that you AE is interpreting your actions as a doube-click (invoke Source window).

Yeah that's what I thought. I'll have to check it again tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a change between 5.0 and 5.5

I got it sorted. I was using the enter/return key of the number pad. I do that by habit, guess because it's close to my mouse. I hit the keyboard enter/return today and whatdayaknow it worked as advertised. Maybe this should go into to stuff-ups thread?
