VERY slow exporting problem
My old PC machine is taking much longer to export simple (very little/no effects) timelines than it used to. Is there something like cleaning up the disc I might be able to try? It's taking 15 hours to export a simple 20 minute clip. Any suggestions? My machine with 1GB RAM has always been a bit slow but this is ridiculous. Much slower than it's ever been.
The files are on a ext drive via USB but that has never been this slow. -Don B. BTW: I went out and bought a MacBook Pro yesterday hoping to put an end to long render times and crashes (no intention to start a "platform rant" here). I plan on updating to the Premier CS3 for Mac. I purchased FCP but I'm so used to Adobe that I'm going to take it back and stick with Adobe. I have gotten quite used to Encore for DVDs. Does that sound crazy? |
Hi,
Some guesses: 1. You have unintentionally turned on some kind of de-noiser filter for the video 2. Project file is broken, test by making a new proj file 3. You may have something else connected to the USB bus that infers with the data to the external HDD - remove all other USB devices to test 4. Long shot, windows indexing services has started to index your USB drive Good luck wih your Makk Bokk :-) // Lazze |
