Digi Grading
Does anyone have some suggestions for Digital Grading software. Im looking for something really high end for color correction and overall grading.
Thank you~ |
How high end is "high end"? There has already been one thread here on discreet's new lustre system, but only a post house will have something of this nature.
But probably you'll want something along the lines of an editing or compositing package, possibly supplemented with a plugin designed specifically for digital color correction. |
I use Vegas, they have color correction... I don't know if they have a more indepth plug in or not... I have looked into Lustre, and i like it...

I would look into Synthetic Aperture's 'Color Finesse', I believe it has just been ported over to Windows. I have used it in After Effects on the Mac platform and have been very pleased (short of having a several hundred thousand dollar hardware suite...)

sadly, color fitness is for MAC only. I use PC

Oh, I guess the suggestion was a little premature. It looks like they've annouced a Windows version that should be released this month.

Adobe Premiere Pro's color correction is licensed from Synthetic Aperture. Its engine is identical to the engine in Color Finesse

If you want truly high-end go with a Da Vinci. That is what the
big boys and girls are using [mostly]. Amazing system. |
