Shootout: G4, G5, AMD 2000+ XP
 

Take what you will from this, I'm not for or against anything: Shootout.

Ouch, doesn't look like the G5 lives up to the fastest computer hype. Course that is the slower model, course it against only a AMD +2000, not their top of the line.

I'm interested to see what other benchmarks show.

The G5's just started shipping last week, most stores don't even have them, including Apple's own retail stores. I'm a little skeptical and reserve judgement until more established testers have a chance to run the tests.
