Help! Splitting Stereo into separate tracks
Hello.
i have a ton of footage i just shot where i put one microphone into both the left and the right channels with different gain settings so i could pick which one sounded better later on. so i have clips where the left and the right are the exact same audio but with different levels, what i want to do is split them into two separate mono tracks, no big deal right? in the adobe premiere pro help file it tells you to just choose clip->audio options->breakout to mono clips sounds easy enough, but that option on my CLIP-AUDIO OPTIONS menu is greyed out. anyone know the fix for this? matthew |
Would be helpful if you'd tell us which NLE software you are using
and which version. If you can't get this to work you can always duplicatie the audio track and make them mono (by selecting one channel). Otherwise an option might be to export the track as WAV and load it up in an audio package to seperate it there. |
in the body of the message i said premiere pro, i figured it out, you had to select the file in the list of project items, not in the timeline.

Sorry about that. Must have overlooked the PPro part. Glad you
figured it out, though! |
