Rob, you're right, this doesn't make any sense. There are no
other functional issues so I'm stumped. Oddly, I have the trial version of both on them and the one which has far fewer programs on it is actually worse but the OS, processor, board, and memory are identical? Could the be any other possible culprits? I found out that Avid had a problem with a Windows update, found the fix, and that allowed it to fully start up but still has intermittent capture. Only other oddball thing to consider is that the original drive was partitioned -- C: has the OS, and because that partition was getting low on space I put the trial verisons on the D: partition, could this cause some interaction issues meaning the OS system and the program have to reach for each other in terms of program execution and functionality? |
anti-virus app suspended. forgot to mention

You mentioned Studio 8.
Use it to capture your footage and import the resulting files into Premiere or Vegas. I had once an issue like that and this worked for me. Try it and let us know. Note: Boot, let windows load until there is no drive activity, put your camera in VCR mode, let windows detect it, launch Studio 8. Best regards, Arnaldo |
I will try that - thanks!
