Uncompressed 10 min avi, can i do it?
Hi,
I have a video file i would like to export as uncompressed avi, but i know there is a 4 gig limit. I really dont want to segment the files as ive been having problems with variations in the luminance levels in premiere 6.5, also its a pain in the ass. can i do this with 1 big file? B.Sundry |
You could make a new NTFS partition and record onto it.
Easiest thing to do is to get a new hard drive. Or, you can use a program like Partition Magic to re-partition your hard drive so you have a new partition that's big enough (like 15GB? not sure what the exact figure is for uncompressed). |
I was under the impression that AVI files had their own limits, even in the NTFS file system of 2k?XP.
If it is as simple as this sure ill just change to NTFS. Can anyone else confirm this? |
The file size limit on an AVI file on NTFS is the size of the drive (or a few terrabytes - whichever is smaller).
I believe AVI Type 1 files did have a limit of 1 or 2 Gig. |
