Making move to HDV
I am about to make the jump to HDV. Either going with a Z1U, or possibly V1U.
I have been using Premiere Pro 1.5, and was going to upgrade to Premiere Pro 2 at the same time. My computer is a Sony VAIO with a 3ghz pentium 4 , 2GB RAM, 256 mb video card and 500GB Raid 0 HD. Is that enough computing horsepower to get me started in being able to edit in HDV? How is Premiere Pro 2 at editing HDV? Or is a switch to Vegas 7 a better bet? Any help/comments would sure be appreciated. |

I have been a Premiere user for years. I bought Vegas 7, because of all the hype that it is the best around on the PC side. I have had some crashing with my Vegas 7 set up so far. Premiere has been pretty solid. I am sure if I was loving Vegas 7, I would run down the issues with it, but I keep working with, and still prefer Premiere.... old habits are hard to break. And Upgrade to Premiere 2.0 is pretty inexpensive too. |
