Virtual Dub and HDV files (can it read natively)

I have never been able to get virtual dub (or vdub mod or vdub mpeg) to open native m2t hdv footage. Once demuxed it does handle the Demuxed High Def mpeg or avi file. Are there currently a version of vdub that will read and edit m2t hdv files in its native format (or is there a plugin that will allow it to do so)?

I take it that means no.

Frameserving might be a solution.
