That was my expression about 2 month ago when I downloaded the free copy of Vegas. I was very embarrassed that I couldn’t get the hang of it in a few days. It took only 3 days to fully get used to a free trial of the professional version of Ulead, 2 days to get used to a free trial of Edius Pro 3, I used Premiere Pro 2 at a friends TV station and it took me 2 days to fully get the hang of it as well but after using Vegas for about a week, I just couldn’t fully get the hang of it. I learned Final Cut Pro in college and I think Vegas should also have its own course because it’s not something the average person can pick up right away. Out of all those, my best is Final Cut Pro by the way.
I havn’t read any of it, but DSE does have books on Vegas.

Anyway that friend of mine is an expert in AVID and he’s decided to do some of his TV shows and even his latest Documentary using Premiere Pro 2 because he likes the fact that you can combine other programs easily with it.

Register to this website and download a free trial of Edius Pro 4. Its another good program you can use.
