Decent Titling Application

Hi guys,
just wondering what u think would be a decent standalone product for video titles?

Im using vegas4, but my titles are predominately made up using Xara5, UleadCool3d, and Hollywood FX Gld standalone,

Ive considered titlemotion, but i havent really had many people experience, basically im after something which is fluid, easy and fast to use...

any ideas are greatly appreciated :)

What most people seem to do when creating simple titles for
animation and stuff is creating a large picture in Photoshop or
another paint program (which resolution depends on if and how
you want to scroll) and creating the titles in that. You can make
them exactly as you want with extra photoshop'ping if needed
and they then import that into a application that can move
the picture (some NLE's can).

TitleDeko was OK I seem to remember, better than TitleMotion anyway.

I currently use a mix of PS, Illustrator and AE when Premiere's titler is found wanting. But that could hardly be described as "a decent standalone product".

Isn't it true that Premiere 6.5 has a more advanced titler than
the older versions?? (not sure on this)

Premiere up to 6 included 3rd party titlers as well as its own woeful one.

Premiere 6.5 did, indeed, introduce a new titler which is much better. I do try to use it. I've heard some reports that it causes flickering, or other problems, but I haven't used it enough to come across any real bugbears myself.

My last titling was screen-height letter crawl, on a black background, with a video fill. It can be done in Premiere (not necessarily using the titler though), but it's just easier to use AE.

thanx for the responses guys, much appreciated...

i find Xara5 to be one of the fastest and flexible apps for titling at the moment.. some of the animations a re alittle limited, however you can output to any format, even jpg and avi...
when outputting the animation, you can set the frame rate etc and it is actually set to loop.. so you can continually extend and loop the footage and its seemless (in Vegas 4 anyway)

i havent really tried title motion.. is title deko within Pinnacle Edition?
i havent really gotten into all that much, i think it actually has title deko built in...
Im only use it for tacky hollywood effects (brides love the effects for some reason, personally i prefer the simpler fluidity of normality.. :) but thats another thread.. LOL)

But if deko is on edition, i might give it a shot...
thanx again.
