Creating a PAL DVD from NTSC footage

Hi folks,

This question may have been asked many times before, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I've got a movie that was shot and edited in NTSC on Adobe Premiere 6.5 (although I now also have Pro 2.0). However, I also want to make a PAL DVD for folks overseas. How would I go about doing this?

Is it as simple as exporting the video as a PAL MPEG-2 and creating a PAL project in Adobe Encore? Is there something else I need to do first?

You can either export PAL from PremPro and create the DVD in Encore or feed the NTSC file to Encore and let it encode it. The result will be the same since both programs use the same encoding engine.

A better solution would be a third party frame rate converter like the one from dvfilm.com.
