Talking with the Steadicam sales folk at NAB a few months ago, Tiffen is coming out of it slow but sure. Who knows what the real deal is tho'.

Wide angle lens + filter

Hi all, Thanks for the input and suggestions.
Looks like Tiffen Mega Plus 0.56x is the way to go as its
in my price range(~$75).

Tiffen Mega Plus 0.56x uses a 72mm front thread.
Is it good to use filter after the wide-angle lens OR
in between camera lens and wide angle lens ??
The reason is 37mm filters are chaper than 72mm filters.

Also, Can I cascade the filters (2 filters at the same time) ?
Thanks again.

If you put them between the WA lens and the camera, that will place the lens further away from the camera, thus increasing the chance for vignette. If you put them on the WA lens, that might also cause vignette too, depending on how wide the lens is. Either way, if your going to put a filter on, don't put it between the camera and the lens. Stacking 2 would be fine, but once again, you might get some vignette.
