Performance hit on MacBook Pro using XP?
 

Hi,

I'm in the market for a new laptop but all my software is for Windows (Adobe suite)

I'm not wanting to change my production platform, but was wondering if the MacBook Pro might be a good option.

I'm also purchasing the new Sony XDCam EX as well.

What I was wanting to do is pretty much use XP Pro on a MacBook Pro as well as Leopard on occasion for other stuff.

Will I notice any performance hit when compared to a Dell laptop of the same specs?

No preformance hit if you use Bootcamp to run XP. It'll run like a PC..... rendering really fast compared to a mac.
Partition your drive so you have two complete systems. You will need to restart to go from OSX to XP.
