Thick whiteboard markers for recording whiteboard?
Hello,
We do a lot of projects recording people against whiteboard and regular markers don't seem to be enough for the camera to pick. Right now is okay, but a thicker marker will make things better. Where I live don't seem to find thick enough (we can find thicker ones but there are not for whiteboard, that is they are not eraseable. Can anyone give me some brands and maybe a place to by them online??? Thanks. |
I looked around and wasn't able to find a larger than normal dry erase marker, but I know Sharpie makes what they call the "Magnum" which is extra large. Find it here:
http://www.sharpie.com/enUS/Product/...nt_Marker.html So you may be able to take the ink well out of one of these and replace it with dry erase ink. That is if you're interested in a bit of DIY. Hope this helps... Kevin |
Hello,
Thanks for the reply. So the only make big sizes for permanent markers? You are giving the advice to open this marker and replace the ink with an eraseable one, right? Its hard to believe something so simple is not available somewhere! |
Look for markers called "bullet point". These markers have a rounded tip that is much easier for presenters to use and produces a much bolder looking script. I started using this type of marker years ago upon the suggestion of some key clients. They looked much better on video as well.

Hello Waldemar,
Thanks for the info, can you recomend a brand and size (and maybe a website) that you've used? We need markers to look better in video. |
