Difference between Century .3x Mark 1 and 2?
 

I was just wondering if anyone had any info on specific differences between the Mark I and Mark II Century Optics .3x fisheyes.

I'm kinda curious if they are optically different at all.

I don't think anyone knows, sorry. I have no personal experience with the products, nor do I know anyone that does. I also find no reference to the Mark 1 or 2. Is there a mention on their site or have you seen two different models. Does it refer to the larger version (Death and Baby Death)? Any skate boarders or Xtreme sports shooters know?

I owned the MKI 58mm screw-mount for my TRV900 a few years ago, then sold that lens on eBay to get the MUCH lighter and more compact MKII 37mm (Baby Death) and only noticed a slight difference between them. The glass quality in both is absolutely perfect, but the wideness is a little bit more on the MKI. I now use the MKII baby death on my PC9, and I have an MKII for my VX2000. bayonet...i wish i'd kept my MKI 58mm as it was MUCH wider than the MKII.

It's almost a good thing though, because the MKII isn't quite as wide which means I can be a little further away while filming skateboarding, which is alot safer (1-2 more feet away could have saved me from many accidents with the MKI)
