Getting people to watch..

(Feel free to put this where it belongs if I wasn't able to)

I wonder what your methods and ways to promote your video are. Where do you post your video to get people to watch? I need some hints on how to get my videos out there among viewers.

What kind of video?

What kind of distribution are you aiming for? Commercial distribution to make money or just a way to get lots of people to see something?

Andreas Fernbrant October 20th, 2003 06:53 AM

I just want loads of people to see something?
something = everything from shortfilms to sportclips.

You could sell (I think it's sell) your shorts to ifilm/atomfilms.com and sites like them. A lot of people could end up seeing it if it becomes popular.

You could also host the movie yourself and point everyone you know to your website. hostaz.com has a listing/review of various web hosting companies.

You could send your shorts to film festivals with low/no entry fees.

If you want to get on television there's a sundance channel that plays shorts.

Thanks, I'll check triggerstreet.

But I didn't get the "sell" part. Does Ifilm/atomfilm buy the video?

I don't know. Check with those sites or do a google search.
