Hi,

Does anyone know of any sites, or places to get music, or from music artists willing to give rights to songs for their promotional use for our DVD's?

I have had some limited success approaching local (San Diego in my case) rock bands for use in a few of my productions. But I am careful to get the proper releases from them.

I have used www.musicbakery.com for more "traditional" and corporate sounding stuff.

I think a lot of the royalty music producers including music bakery sell their stuff there. Also try www.smartsound.com

Read their terms of use carefully but by far the most comprehensive collection I have found that is free to use for most of us can be found at Freeplaymusic.com

Over time I have downloaded all their selections and burned a DVD of the entire collection.
