im surprised that with all the site recommendation for information, the most obvious wasnt mentioned: 2cpu.com.
the forums there are populated by a higher breed of users. quite often you will be getting systems advice from technicians, developers, administrators, and other professionals. tomshardware and the like are 'ok' for the average "joe-six-pack" but when dealing with workstation grade applications they really are clueless. anandtech and toms are the only review sites that i have seen benchmark a cpu by rating viewport performance in a 3d application. leave those sites to people who only play games and are addicted to AIM. professional users need not apply. |
