SD card camcorders with useful file types?
 

I'm looking for a standard definition SD card camcorder that records a file type, with the proper file extension, that can be transferred to Mac's and PC's and be edited with MovieMaker, Premiere Pro CS4, and iMovie without converting the file from one type to another, re-naming the file extension from .XYZ to .MPG, or being forced to use the companies software to load and convert the file.
We had an JVC Everio, but it saves a .mod file, and it doesn't work with anything exept the software that comes with the camera. I need one that just works with no extra stepa whatsoever.
Anyone have any suggestions?
