You only let this happen once before the waterproof housing becomes critical. Same thing happened to me, years ago. never go near water (or blowing sand) without protection.

yeah, I lost a simple point as shoot digital to a wave pool at a water park once... then I realized, Cameras aren't waterproof or resistant... So now I have a way to make all my cameras water resistant if need be...
