Help
I was wondering if there was a device that could simultaneously start/stop recording two dv camcorders at the same time, synching the two cameras to record for the exact same time period. I am working on a project where I'll have a split screen of two events going on at the same time and if there is a device that can do this, I have been unable to find it. It seems to me though, that this should be possible somehow. If anyone knows if there is such a device, I would greatly appreciate it if you would let me know what it is called. Also, if there is not such a device, does anyone know how I could synch these cameras a different way?
Thanks a lot! Jared |
If your not talking about live tv; get two dv cameras, start to record around the same time; edit it together so they match up; no special device. you can easily match video/audio and everything together when you edit.

dammit, probably the only question i could possibly even try to answer on this site, and i miss it. :D |
DVX100'a have the ability to sync multiple cams to same timecode, which could be handy of events are in different locations and you don't know how to sync them otherwise... You really need to tell us more about what you are trying to do. As others suggest, it could be as simple as just lining up two clips in an NLE.

Yes,
Just slave the timecode from one camera to the other and use the identical codes to match the video in post. If this is a live event I'm completely clueless. Walkie Talkies and 2 operators??? Good Luck! Stephanie |
Two identical cameras and one infrared remote control.
Put the two cameras in REC+PAUSE. Press remote. Best regards, Arnaldo |
