Z7u vs. Z1u
I have about 25 hours of footage shot with a Z7. 1080i @24p. How close can I get to matching the footage if I were to switch to a Z1?
|
Depends what you mean by close; it's pretty subjective. I think the most common answer would be "not very." Even if the Z1 could do any form of progressive -- which it doesn't -- the images themselves are different because of the differing chips. You might try the Cineframe 24 setting to emulate the 24p judder but that generally gets pretty poor reviews.
Can you get your hands on a Z5? Virtually identical to Z7 in terms of imaging and recording system. |
Z1u vs. Z7u
Thanks, Adam.
Actually, I have access to an EX-1, but the we only have two cards and the downloading is a problem because we're traveling and I didn't want to lug around a laptop and hard drive on top of everything else. May not have a choice, though. |
