SD Card Limitations
Wasn't sure if this should go in the Panasonic forum or not...
Have an older PV-GS70 that the kids are now using but for some reason it will only record for 2 minutes straight to the 2GB SD card. Of course, the file size is way smaller than the card capacity... Anyone have any ideas why it only records for 2 minutes before stopping? The manual/documentation has nothing to offer on this problem so I turn to the members of this forum who have so much experience and knowledge to share. Any suggestions/ideas? |
Is it a Class 6 card or faster? Some recommend a Class 10 card for the Sony EX1.

Hi Tim.............
First question:
When the camera stops after 2 minutes, when you hit record again, does it record another 2 minutes, or is that first 2 minutes as much as it will put on the card? That will give us something to go on. CS |
Never mind............
Think I've cracked it.
Manual here: http://studio.berkeley.edu/coursewor...ls/PVGS70D.pdf Check out page 56: Recording moving Pictures. 2 minutes is your lot at Superfine or Fine. For more time you need to switch down to Normal. Looks like our culprit but I'll let the jury decide. CS |
