25fps?? Video setting in Final cut!

OKAY>>>>
I shoot on an great (but old) Sony fx1 which shoots at about 25fps and I import to final cut pro using audio /video settings at DVCPRO HD 1080i60. My client wants a frame rate at no more than 25 seconds. I am confused about the settings. I thought my video was being imported at 29.97 fps.

Which setting should I use to achieve what my client wants?????

Unless you have an FX1E or P (PAL model) it only shoots at 30fps in 60i. There are no options to choose. You just set up a standard 60i proiject.

so your saying...

That I need a different camera if my client wants the frame rate at 25?

Why does he care? Are you talking about frame rate or i vs p? There's no real visual difference between 25 and 30 if both are interlaced. There is a difference if you are talking 25p vs 50i or 60i.

The NTSC FX1 shoots 30 fps in 60i only.

The PAL FX1 (E/P) shoots 25 fps in 50i only.

Neither does any form of progressive, but both have CINEFRAME modes that try to simulate the look of 24p or 30p (NTSC) or 25p (PAL).

Need more info.
