BBCode buttons?
 

Hi,

Is there any way for me to turn on BBCode buttons for these forums? I don't mind writing the BBcode myself, but it sure is faster to click a button to add a link or make things bold (for example).

Links become links automatically; no button or BB code needed.
Vimeo clips become embedded in a player just by posting the URL.
If you really feel like making something bold, make the effort and do
the extra keystrokes. We're not making BB code easy or accessible
because we really prefer readable posts.

Sounds good to me. No complaints here.

I guess for me, sometimes I like to link text vs. post the full URI. Using the link button makes the latter much easier. Still, no biggy. Posting the full link works, and I like that it auto-links.

Bold tags is no biggy, and I can definitely do the extra keystrokes... That is not really my problem. Just that I find BBcode links useful in that they speed up my forum posting abilities.

Maybe you could turn on a very minimal set of BBcode buttons? Seems like having the basic BBcode markup would not muck up the forum posts?

Also, I did notice that the BBcode FAQ says that you can wrap [img]...[/img] around an image link and have it appear as an image... Unfortunately, it just shows as a link.
