Include a tap dance sequence ..

In your new screenplay include tap dancing sequences, or at least one. You'll grab attention from the film makers and help propel your vehicle to success.

The ARTIST is the latest screen success to capture world attention with tap dance sequences on board, and past film history shows they work.

Films like Chicago, The Barkleys of Broadway and all the Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers films were box office hits with tap dance sequences, not necessarily relating directly to the story.

They break up the tensions and provide an interlude so the audience can relax a bit.

But, you say, I'm writing a serious jail break drama .. well build one or two into the story. The leads could be planning to break out from under the jails wooden concert stage while the visiting concert dancers tap away and make some noisy diversion.

Or a tragic love story .. the lead gals young sister taps away for her concert debut, but during the applause she cries for her sister.

A WW2 drama is the ideal show, they recognise a captured German flyer is a Nordic tap star but during a concert, he taps out a code for the other inmates.

There's plenty of opportunities to show tap and don't forget .. I was the one to tell you.

Cheers.
