hi8 playback question
 

i recorded a wedding with 2 cameras. one on a digital 8 camera and the other minidv. well im trying to play back the sony Hi8 MP tape in a regular Hi8 camcorder and its not working. is it because it was recorded on a digital 8 camcorder?

Digital 8 cameras are usually backwards compatible with Hi-8 analog cameras, but not the other way around. Sort of like "all poodles are dogs, but not all dogs are poodles" ;-)

thats what i figured. i just looked at the tape more closely and figured out it was a digital 8 tape.
