Direct to DVD Recorder Needed
I have found a few inexpensive models that use Firewire and/or Composite inputs, but I need something with higher quality than Composite AND accepts a 30p signal (firewire/HDV/DV does not support 30p).
It will be connected to a switcher for quick duplication after church services, but I don't know which switcher I will have my client (the church) purchase. I am leaning towards the Tricaster XD450 because it does everything needed: 1) accepts 1080 30p inputs and different resolutions among inputs, 2) network inputs - from an iMac that is used to display text from songs and passages on their projector; 3) encodes to Flash or H264 for live web streaming and records the stream. 4) has a recorder built into it (records HD MPEG2 100Mb I-Frame for easy editing if needed). 5) can store as many clips and titles as needed and their length is not limited - this is one reason why I don't like the ATEM switcher, which can only store very short clips. I found a new JVC DVD/Blu Ray recorder that has HD-SDI but it costs over $3,000. I am willing to spend up to $1,000 for something high quality. Thanks |
