Green or Blue Screen - Blonde

Hi folks..
I'm shooting some footage that requires me to drop out the background on a "commentator". I was thinking (bad mistake to start with) that I'd use a green screen behind her...however...will there be an issue with her blonde hair and the "green" of the background...would a blue background be safer to get the desired effect?
Thanks - David

Green works best with video. Hair color has nothing to do with it, unless her hair is green!

good lightning on blue/green screen always include a additional color to suppress background influence.
usually an orange/amber light is used for blue screen.

Hair has everything to do with it.
If her hair is light blond, blue is going to be WAY easier to key and leave you with the most fine detail.

Generally, blue works best for light red & blond hair. Green works best for basically everything else (except green of course :p )

Here's a quick little writeup with some of the details:

Followup discussions I've had with folks from ILM and Cinesite indicate that this is indeed the case.

Nick,
That's pretty much what I had concluded....
Thanks - David
