Re: Sony BVS-3100 switcher sync
If you had a choice between the two, which would you choose?

Re: Sony BVS-3100 switcher sync
You don't need a TBC for a CCU if it has the same reference as the switcher..

Re: Sony BVS-3100 switcher sync
I understand that. But i will be using the TBC's for 3 Sony DSR-250's 1 GoPro, 1 Sony DSR-20 VTR and a Computer.
Just wondering which of the two TBC's (from the links i listed above) would be the best for my situation? |
Re: Sony BVS-3100 switcher sync
Does anyone have a manual for the BVS-3100 switcher?
I hooked up the DSR-370 with genlock and was able to get it synced, however when i plugged in the camera to inputs 1-3 I don't get any video out of those inputs, but when i plug the camera into inputs 4-8 it works great. Does anyone know what is going on here? |
Re: Sony BVS-3100 switcher sync
Zach: if they work, either will function just fine.
I'm just used to seeing timing controls on TBCs, Normally micro potentiometers for rough and fine phase. |
Re: Sony BVS-3100 switcher sync
Hello all,
With the help of everyone on this thread i all my sources timed and synced into the switcher and it is working great! My next question is graphics. The BVS-3100 switcher has a "Chroma Key" input (component). I have a laptop running powerpoint, that is outputting graphics with a solid green background to a scaler that is sending the component signal to the chroma key inputs. I am having an issue getting the chroma key to work properly. When i turn on the chroma key i see the graphics on the screen but they are almost completely transparent. Could someone help me get this to work? I tried the chroma key with a Videonics MX-Pro DV mixer and it worked fine. But i need it to work with the BVS-3100. Thanks!! |
