Teleprompter info needed

I'm going to need to get a teleprompter for a project we're working on. I'd like to get something reasonably priced, that's easy to use and portable.

I talked to the people at Prompterpeople http://www.prompterpeople.com/minidetail.htm
and have aslo spoken t someone at Ikan-
http://www.ikancorp.com/pt1000.htm
Since I have no place to check these models out ( that I know of) in South Florida, I'd really appreciate feedback from anyone with teleprompter experience.
Thanks

I like the Prompterpeople products and prices, myself.

Charles,
Thanks for the reply. Have you used either the DV-9 or the DV-11( Prompterpeople)? I was ready to get the DV-11, and a friend sent me the link to Ikan.

Bruce:

I haven't used their units in the field, but I spent a lot of time with them at NAB a couple of years ago and again this year, and I will be recommending them for a pending purchase for Instant Films.

The difference between a system that mounts in front of the lens and one that mounts above can be significant when the subject is within 8 feet or so; the eyeline will be noticeably better. Plus, the size of the text is greater (I didn't see a spec listing the size of the Ikan monitor, but I'm sure it's much smaller than the DV11). And the smaller the text, the closer the subject needs to be to the camera to read it, and then...see beginning of this paragraph!

Overall, I feel that Prompterpeople is offering a quality product at a very reasonable price, much less than competitive units.

Thanks, Charles.I'll take your advice on that, and go with the DV-11.
