Final Cut Pro for Windows
 

***** guys i need help finding a Final Cut Pro for windows if you have any info.Windows media player is not good.Please help

Final Cut Pro is Mac Os only, you will have to spend all-out for a Mac to run it. There are many great NLE's for Windows like Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, Avid etc... and Windows Media Player does not edit video, maybe you are thinking of Windows movie maker? If you are only at this level, all of the above (including Final Cut) are a big PROFESSIONAL step. You can try downloading trial versions of the waterd down editors like Premiere elements etc. Hope this helps.

Welcome to DVinfo Roman. Since you mention Windows Media Player, I wonder if what you want might be Quicktime instead of Final Cut Pro? If so, then you can download the free version here. You can also upgrade it to Quicktime Pro inexpensively, which gives you some more capabilities:

If you do need Final Cut Pro then you don't necessarily need to "spend all out" although you will have to buy a Mac. I just noticed that MacMall (and probably other vendors as well) is selling the new Intel Macs bundled with Windows XP pre-installed. Might be cheaper than you think.... you can get a laptop with both MacOSX and WinXP for $1,200 or a MacMini with both operating systems for $700.

Ok, I may have been exaggerating “all out” but it pains me as a ‘PC guy’ that I want a Mac more and more every day!

Guys thank you for all responses. On emule i found FINAL CUT PRO for windows i was suprised too because i heard stories that doesn't exists. Adobe premier 2.0 for some reason it doesn't read mpeg4 i tried couple times to open it just doesn't show in browse box. I have VLP player which i consider the best for mpeg4. Don't like Quick time

Well if you don't like Quicktime then you won't like Final Cut Pro. It is based on Quicktime. Exactly where did you find Final Cut Pro for Windows?

Good luck with that....not sure what it is you say you found, so you are either being scammed, or you are not appropriately indicating the specifics of your applications.

If you are running Windows, then you are certainly not going to be able to use Final Cut Pro. You can use a Windows version of Quicktime to view mpeg4 content, and the paid pro version of QT to do some editing work on the content.

If you are using the Mac, perhaps what you are asking is about the recently released Universal Binary version of Final Cut Pro that runs on the Intel Chip - installed only on the newer Macs.

If you are using Windows, but you say you found a Windows version of Final Cut Pro and someone is trying to give it or sell it to you, then you are either being scammed, or mis-informed. Final Cut Pro is an Apple product, designed to be installed and run only on the Apple Macintosh operating system. Apple does not have a version of this software that will run on any Windows machine.

The only two Apple applications that I know of that Apple makes a Windows version of is: Quicktime, and iTunes (which comes bundled with Quicktime and runs on the Quicktime engine.

It doesn't. FCP for Intel does, but it's not the same thing.

MPEG4 is another delivery format, and its structure borrows from QuickTime (combining streams other than video and audio). I think there's something about moving away from multiplexing, but at this point I need to say "Check, please" and hand over to a specialist.

FWIW, Premiere and FCP are kissing cousins as were both engineered by Randy Ubillos (and team). Early FCP (then just a humble Key Grip) was to be 'Premiere Done Right' (cf. AB rolling and scaling of imported assets) but sometimes it can be hell to be right at the wrong time.
