Could you help us a little more with what you are trying to do with a live shot?

What we are wanting to do is a single man shoot from remote locations and transmit the footage wirelessly then podcast that video on a website live or with a small delay. I have heard that Emersat has some sort of small device and saw it at NAB but cant seem to find any info on it.

Just to clarify, you're looking for a battery-operated, man-portable, ground-to-satellite uplink station capable of sending audio and video to a bird that could then be downlinked by a distant fixed-base ground station for rebroadcast?

Steve, yes sir you phrased it perfectly.

Did you check out that DVLaptop place? What did you find there?

Keith, looked like a definite list maker, I am trying to come up with a few more options so we dont overlook something that we wish we would have bought. Just trying to gather as much info as I can and cant think of a better place to find it than here.

Just incase anyone else was pondering the live video feed,I finally found an option, Inmarsat's BGAN is a looks like a great way to get started on the live feed.
