20th Century Fox Logo
hello there.
would there be any software out there that would make it possible to re-edit the 20th Century Fox 3D logo and insert other letters/figures instead of the existing ones? |
Photoshop? After effects?
|
Ulead Cool 3D Production Studio
|
thanks, guys. firstly, i meant the logo in motion (the way it moves at the beginning of movies). secondly, what would i need to use as a model?
|
Ulead Cool 3D Production Studio has the model. You just substitute your letters and then animate. Quite simple.
|
thanks. i guess it's not mac-compatible, though, is it?
|
No, unfortunately it is not.
|
in that case, perhaps i could ask someone who's got it to do the job for me and send me the file in a mac-compatible format, i.e. mov or avi?
Jeff, Peter, would any of you two have the applicaiton? |
You could try using After Affects which is Mac compatible.

Graham, wow, that was incredible!!!
could you please insert the actual text i need for my logo? i'll quote it if you agree. and if you were using Ulead, would it be possible to animate it, imitating the way the 20th C.Fox logo moves - i.e. starting from the top left angle and rotating to the point of reaching the bottom right angle (just like in your pic)? would be eternally grateful. |

send me the text that you need to appears in Cfox logo ps. sorry about my english... yeah i know... it's so bad... xD |
thank you so much, Graham!
here's the text in three lines: line 1 - 21st (no capital letters) line 2 - CENTURY (capital letters) line 3 - VO.X (capital letters) VO.X is my band's name. you can have a look here: http://www.vo-x.tk so, would animated rotation of the logo be possible? could you save it as a MOV or AVI file? |
hello, Graham?

looks great, but could you please make the first line ("21st") as wide as the other two. just like on the original logo. if you look here - http://www.energypr.co.uk/pressroom/...lorFoxLogo.jpg - the width of the first line is the same as that of the second and third ones. thanks a lot.

looks great! thanks!
|
sorry, any news?

Nice
Hello all,
I was looking for exact this thing for me to. I turn 25 this year and I want to make an original invitation. I want to give everybody a CDROM or link to a webpage containing a short movie, like the trailer for a film. That movie contains pictures of me rom birth till now together wit funny quotes qnd ofcourse the coordinates and invitation to the party I was looking for the intro of FOX but i wanted to change it into "1/4th Century TIM" Now I've seen this is possible, GRAHAM; What a wunderfull job!!! So now my question: With what did you make it AND can i make it to as newbie with absolutely NO knowledge about 3D annimation? Or GRAHAM, do you still have the files where you easily can change the text? Thanks in advanced! Greetz! |
I think he said that he used 3dsMax. Generally this kind of thing is best done with a real 3D animation package.
3dsMax is great and is used by a lot of folks in developing game animations. Others that come to mind are Cinema4D, Lightwave (from Newtek), Maya, etc Only drawback is that these packages are expensive - maybe up to $3k or $4k or more for the full blown packages with all the optional modules. I think the basic versions of Cinema 4D and Lightwave run around $700 to $900 They also have learning curves that are quite impressive! There are a couple of pretty capable lower end packages that I think would do the job. There's a package called Carrara Basics that I used to use. It's available from DAZ and they're selling it for around $55. I'm pretty certain that you can do this kind of logo etc with it, but it will still take some learning time. http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/software/carrara_basics/-/? There's also a free package called Blender that is pretty capable - but again the learning curve is non trivial to say the least. |
Free options
there is also a free option call blender
http://www.blender.org/ This has a learning curve but there are lots of tutorials to learn with. |
Why?
Hi Graham:
Trying to figure out this thread. Not trying to be critical and nothing against Aram, more just out of curiosity, why are you doing what should be a decently budgeted project for free? Do you know or owe Aram? You obviously have some skill as a 3D animator, do you do this for a living or just as a hobby? Nice work. Dan |
