a good laptop for editing

Hi everyone,

I'm considering buy a new laptop purely for edit my HD project, suggestions from any aspect will be appreciated.

I work on a Mac platform and do not have the knowedge to discuss other platforms.

With Final Cut Pro one has the ability to edit at lower resolutions on laptop computers and then export the edit list to higher capacity computers for defining the finishing touch. There is a value to this process as it does not necessarily require one wait for rendering while one is actively engaged in assembling the edits of a video project. That can happen later while you are sleeping.

I am absolutely sure most, if not all, of the competitor applications to Final Cut Pro offer the same, or similar, features.

Bottom line, work on a platform with which you are very familiar.

Then acquire the best laptop in terms of processing speed and hard drive you can afford that also fits the demands you intend to place upon it.

Thanks a lot!

I guess Adobe Premium Pro demands higher resolutions, right? I've been using Premium Pro for HD in my desktop for a while, it gets stuck sometimes when it's running for over an hour sequence.
