HMC150 Used at B&H

For anyone on the fence about the camera or anyone about to buy one, I just was on B&H today (3-12-09) and saw they have at least one used model going for $500 under retail.

It would have been mine but the wife shot me down. Enjoy.

damn, i have it in my cart, just need to enter my info. i would prefer to sell
my EX1 first though.

only problem is that it only has a 30 day warranty. unless you pay an additional 119 for their 2 year warranty.

hmm I would probably wait for them to come back in stock if it was me. But that is just me.

You'd sell an EX1 for an HMC150? You sure?

Scott Hayes March 13th, 2009 05:30 AM

i go back and forth, its about the $$. not a big fan of the rolling shutter, since
weddings are my mainstay.

I've never checked the B+H used section before, but even if it was the camera only. No batteries, no manual, no box, no nothing, it's still worth purchasing the camera used. If I got to it I would have picked it up in a heartbeat. Does B+H normally have crazy deals like this in the used section, or is this a one-off thing?

I personally didn't think it was such a great deal. You would have to buy a 2 year warranty for $119 instead of the 3 year from the factory. Plus you are missing out on the Larger Battery for $169 then not to mention the 8gb Panasonic Class 6 card. If you total all of that up and minus 1 year on your warranty and the fact you dont know who or how it was used before you got it. Nah I would pass to save only 200 or so bucks and buy one new.

Oops forgot about the free shipping you would have to pay for also.
