Thanks for correcting me Mark.

I have the 70-200 f2.8 and never thought to try it on a shoot or try it at home. I will check this out as I thought wrong about all still lenses.

I still think the lack of servo motor takes the 5D MkII out of a lot of event style shooting.

I look forward to trying out some video and also to the Magic Lantern progress to see if this can be worked into any payed situations.

I only use the 5D2 for narrative video. I'm not sure I'd use it for events. I never zoom when rolling, so my post was kind of silly. Sometimes I just have to boost my ego by posting something I happen to know.

I wasn't lying when I said "I zoom without refocusing routinely", but I only zoom for stills.

I was scared to zoom after finding focus with still work. Now I know can adjust if needed with the 70-200mm. My 24-105mm was not on the list though.

The more I read and see about the MkII, the better it looks.

I have some testing to do.
