Problem with importing footage

When I'm importing footage from Panasonic AG-AF100 sdhc card I end up with file with is about half of the original size. For some reason there are always 2 copies of the same clip on the sdhc card? I've been using AVCCAM viewer for the import to Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. What is the best way to get the footage from the card to Adobe premiere CS6 ?

Re: Problem with importing footage

These are the same steps I use, I used to grab the image files manually and that worked well also; however I'm trying to get metadata to work (still unable) and this is said to be the best way, it doesn't take any additional time I find.

Remember you're video "file" will be divided into portions even if it's one clip, it's just how the software works saving a whole as pieces; put premiere or other nle's will interpret the footage as it was shot.

I have to send mine in for warrantee work; hopefully this will fix my metadata problem, if I where you I'd re format the cards check that they are high quality class 10, check the recording options in the camera (eg relay recording vs normal; I think there is a double capture mode, I used a Cannon a while back and all my footage was doubled up; I didn't notice this until after the shoot and ofcourse ram out of storage space.)

Check if your in vfr mode and what quality, if required reset to factory default. If this doesn't work I'd send it in;a manger from Panasonic told me they've had lots of problems.

Hope that helps.
