"choices" lo is 10 megs, "choices" hi is 24 megs...but looks bitchin'

Sorry couldn't get the files smaller. Still mastering the 'art" of quicktime....

Oh yeah, you have to have quicktime 6.

Feedback appreciated. At least we know I can't blame the camera. ;-)

That's plain nice... Great idea, great naration, especially at the beginning when it seems the lady doesn't need air to breath, she just goes forward.
I own a GS100 for almost 2 months now, but when I looked at you video... man, did you really shot it with a GS100? no kidding here...

Amit Sawarkar September 12th, 2003 04:11 PM

great movie.
excellent picture quality, and script. Very touching narration.

GS100 is certainly a great cam, but, thats only half the story of a great movie. The cam will assure you great picture quality - the other half is upto the persons who creates the movie, script, and weilds the cam. Congratulations!!

thanks guys, that's nice of you to say.

I shot it with the 16x9 30fps mode. I never take it out of this mode, actually, thus making it easier to deal with japanese menus...lol...

Just for kicks I threw it in to Sundance at the deadline...may not have a prayer, but...

Good luck to all with your projects.

Mikey

Hi Mikey, congrats ! Fine work, looks wonderful. Unbelievable for is this GS100K capable of (of course, along with its operator :-) ).

I'm eager to hold my new GS100K that is on its way to me from Allan making long route all the way from Japan via San Francisco to Israel. Hopefull will get it next week !

Alex

BTW, can I download your clips to my PC as a .MOV files ? I would love to have your work (with your permission, of course) as an example of GS100K abilities (and learn for myself).

Michael, Very nice work, creative ideas. The audio is very clear and sharp. Did you use GS100's built in mic or remote mic or any professional XLR type mic or any other pany mic?

Samuel Raj September 15th, 2003 04:33 PM

Michael,
I know you could also add sound while editing using some NLE.
If yes, which NLE, do u have Vegas or FCP or some ordinary?

cheers..

Nick Huang September 15th, 2003 09:29 PM

Which NLE did you use, etc.?

Hi, Michael, I thought it might help a lot of people if you could share with us how you produced this nice film from your raw footage. Like, which NLE hardware and software did you use? Or, whcih features of the NLE software did you use to edit the film.

Thanks.

Hey guys,

Sorry taken me so long...I'm shooting a 30 second commercial spot with the gs100...interested to see how it turns out...

I edited it in FCP 3.0.4..it's the only nle I know how to use to I can't compare it to another..

The VO work was done by a professional VO actress and done in a studio with a great mic and fed directly into a board with protools. Audio is extremely important.

Thanks again for all your comments. I'll put up another one on Tuesday..

peace and video

Mikey
