GS100k - Mikes and Remotes
See http://www.supervideo.com/MXAudio.htm. Usual disclaimer: can't vouch for it. On the other hand, it's the only advice I've seen on the subject that offers work-arounds for the way the 100k handles these issues.

Thanks, Patricia.
will the splitter for the mic/remote work accordingly, I mean one for mic other for remote same time? If any one has tried this set up? |
Thanks, Patricia. I'll go read that when I have a little time.

Hi all,
I just went to Radio Shack in search of a "splitter" that would allow one to use the remote and an external mike on the MX7000. Bad news. A stero mini-plug splitter did not work. The problem is that Panasonic uses a propriatary plug design with 3-4 zones whereas the standard mini-plug only has two. Has anybody found a solution to this design limitation? It is as royal pain in the neck. Peter |
Peter, have you asked the chuckmeister? The person posting on his site was from the UK; maybe he will be amenable to being contacted directly.
|
Pany Japan says the splitter won't work as the cam can recognize only 1 signal at a time...their translated words not mine.
|
Allen. Thanks for your reply here. I am skeptical of what Pany says. If I could find a splitter with the right plug format, I would sure like to give it a try... Know where to find one?
|
If there's a place to find one, it's got to be the Mecca of electronics..Akihabara electric town in Tokyo.
How's your hotshoe mic? Is it working now? |
