Just remember that "progressive" as used by Panasonic for these cams does not refer to video mode. It's used in reference to stills only and whatever process the cam supposedly applies to ensure higher quality.

Thanks, I re-read the manual & I see that.

So ...

Progressive = only photo mode

Normal = video mode (interlaced)

Frame = video mode (30 frames per second - I.E. progressive)

Wide = video mode (16:9 + normal)

Procinema = video mode (16:9 + frame)

Sound about right?

sounds about right from what i;ve read, except that you forgot to put in cine-like gamma under pro-cinema mode.
